Lagasse Aquaculture

The Freux fish farm, which has been in operation since 1889, will turn a new page in its history in 2024. Fish farmer Thomas Lagasse is currently developing the farm.

He still breeds trout (mainly rainbow trout, both organic and non-organic) and perch, but also carp, roach and ornamental fish such as goldfish and koi.

He is keen to show people around his farm and offers tours throughout the year, lasting between one and two hours. These tours are by appointment only and can end with a tasting session if you wish. As a bonus, you will receive a booklet about trout and recipe ideas for preparing it.

Carp and ornamental fish are already available for purchase.

From April 2025, it will be possible to buy trout and perch for consumption on site.
