Chapel Notre-Dame de Walcourt (1750) and its lime trees

From Redu, just before Lesse, a small road on the left

Framed by two venerable lime trees, this 1750s chapel overlooks the hamlet of Lesse. It is under the protection of Notre-Dame de Walcourt and was reportedly the scene of some miraculous events. A pilgrimage to Saint Monon - who has a statue there - was long organised there for the protection of livestock, especially pigs.
