In June 2024, the village of Redu and the hamlets of Lesse and Séchery were awarded the “Most Beautiful Villages in Wallonia” label for their typical charm.
The Tourist Office and its village partners have prepared two routes to immerse you in the village that has been the Village of Books and Space for several decades:

  • the 1.2 km poetic walk, accompanied by the route book available from the Tourist Office in Place de l’Esro.
  • Mini Redu, a 1.5 km hunt for the village’s smallest inhabitants.

For more than 20 years, Sohier has been recognised as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Wallonia. It is a lovely place to stroll around, especially in summer when it is beautifully decorated with flowers.
Throughout the seasons, visitors can appreciate the charm of the characteristic houses of the Famenne region, as well as the surrounding panoramic views and heritage sites.

The inhabitants, Tourist Office and ‘Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia’ association invite you to discover it through several circuits:

  • the 5 km Flower Walk in summer (the leaflet is available from the Tourist Office in July and August).
  • the Heritage Trail, which, like the one in Mirwart, offers an insight into the heritage and landscape of the area.
  • the 10 km moderate-level Landscape Walk along country lanes, roads and through woods.
  • the short 2.5 km Village of a Thousand Colours walk through the village.
