In June 2024, the village of Redu and the hamlets of Lesse and Séchery were awarded the “Most Beautiful Villages in Wallonia” label for their typical charm.
The Tourist Office and its village partners have prepared two routes to immerse you in the village that has been the Village of Books and Space for several decades:

  • the 1.2 km poetic walk, accompanied by the route book available from the Tourist Office in Place de l’Esro.
  • Mini Redu, a 1.5 km hunt for the village’s smallest inhabitants.

Sohier has been one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia for over 20 years. It’s a lovely place to stroll around, with so many flowers in bloom in summer.
As the seasons go by, you can appreciate the charm of the Famenne’s characteristic habitats, as well as the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and its heritage points of interest.

Local residents, the Tourist Office and the “Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie” association invite you to discover the area on a number of different routes:

  • the “Balade des Fleurs” in summer, which is 5 km long.
  • the “Au travers du Patrimoine” trail, which, like the Mirwart trail, offers an insight into the local heritage and landscape.
  • The 10km “balade paysagère”, a moderate level walk along country lanes, roads and through woods.
  • the short “Village aux mille couleurs” walk, 2.5 km through the village.
